Scouts & Parents – at our meeting last Tuesday, Mike Dixon came by and
told some of us of the passing of his Father Tom. As long as Mike has been
a part of our troop, Tom has been a part of the troop, and that has been about
18 years. Tom and his wife were prolific travelers, and he would always
bring the scouts back some scout memorabilia from whatever Asian city he
visited. Tom had a real passion for the traditions of scouting, so he
always encouraged the scouts to always wear a full uniform. No doubt, it
set the scouts apart from the world around them. Since Covid, Tom has had
to stay pretty distant, so it has been two years since he has been around the
scouts. I hope we all can be as passionate as Tom about the training and
making of young boys into great men for the benefit of our country.
We will miss Tom, but I will never forget him. Blessings and comfort
to the Dixon family for their loss.
