Good Afternoon Troop. Thanks to all that attended Tuesday meeting. We covered quite a bit of material in a short amount of time:
  1. Texas Veterans Organization - FUNDRAISER - Veterans Day November 12 & 13 and Memorial Day May 27 & 28. Thanks to Mr. Helton and his great presentation, the committee voted FOR the opportunity to participate and raise $ for individual Scout Accounts/Troop 363. Here's the short version: WE ABSOLUTELY NEED YOUR HELP. Mr. Helton sent an email to the Troop last night. If you did not receive this email, please let me know.
  2. Cinch Roping Fiesta - FUNDRAISER and SERVICE HOURS October 29 @ 5:30 and October 30 @ 4:30. Thanks to Mr. TJ Meyers and San Angelo Rodeo Association - Troop 363 is participating in the Cinch clean up again this year. Thankfully, this fundraiser and CONSERVATION service hour project continues to get better and better every year. Scouts earn $ for their Scout account AND rack up conservation service hours that are REQUIRED for BSA ranks. I'm working on a SignUp Genius to help us gauge who can help and when. The more time a Scout works the more $ and service hours they earn.
  3. Veteran's Day Parade - November 5th; We will have more details as we get close but this is a perfect opportunity for Troop 363 to personally thank and acknowledge our local veterans. It's good PR for Boy Scouts of America, the Texas Southwest Counsel and Troop 363. It is my hope to have all our Scouts to participate in the Veteran's Day Parade on November 5th. Clear your calendar on the 5th and join your fellow Scouters.
  4. Webelos Woods Camp - November 11-13; Thanks to our Scouts and Mr. Helton - details for Webelos Woods Camp is coming along. Thanks to all the adults that have signed up to help thus far. Troop 363 has a great reputation for great demonstrations and first place finishes in several events. This is by far the single most important recruiting effort for Troop 363. It's probably THE reason your Scout is now a member of Troop 363!
Thanks to everyone that continues to work faithfully in making Troop 363 successful. If you don't know where you can help as an adult leader/parent, please contact me. Our Scouts need your presence in the fore-front and behind the scenes.
