Scout Winter Campers!
I hope all the scouts are enjoying their time off from school . . . and
looking forward to a great Christmas!!
Here are details to be aware of, since we are leaving Monday night!
We will be meeting at the church Monday the 27th at 5:15pm, departing at
5:30. Eat before you come. Traveling in Class A uniforms. Wear
Class B’s through the week if you have them.
We will return Thursday the 30th around 3:00 pm.
It is going to be warm during the days, chilly at night. We are car
camping, so bring whatever you need, to stay warm at night.
Sun screen and a hat during the day, especially if you have multiple
afternoon events outdoors.
The trading post will be open, bring money if you want for drinks and
stuff.
We aren’t cooking, we don’t need mess kits. It is a good idea to
bring your own mug for drinking.
Please have all the Merit Badge worksheets printed off, read,
pre-requisites done before we get there; otherwise, the pre-requisites will have
to be done later. It’s best if you put your worksheets in a three ring
binder – pens and pencils. Use a daypack to carry all this stuff.
Come PREPARED to learn!
Bring snacks if you like, no eating in tents.
We will be using troop tents only, for scouts.
I would bring a bag chair. Those who need rank, bring your scout
book.
Water bottle is a must, need to be drinking all day long.
The COVID bug is bouncing around, so be prepared to wear a mask indoors
during classes.
If you have questions, let me know. J Helton
