Evening All,
School is out and summer camp is around the corner! Here are a few reminders as well as some information concerning summer camp.
I need these items at tomorrow's meeting:
Parents, there are several forms I will need you to fill out at the meeting.
1. Health Forms (Check to see what you were missing on the list from last week)
2. Commitment to Transport
3. Troop 363 Summer Camp Permission Form
4. Covid Screening
5. Summer Camp Payment in Full
I will near my vehicle to help parents fill things out. Please get with me before the meeting ends. I will also be pitching an idea I have seen other troops use concerning spending money. Parents can choose to give spending money to me to put in an envelope with each scouts name so they don't spend it all on the first day.
Scouts need to be ready to share a camp cheer, a camp song and have a patrol yell idea ready.
As scouts pack, I noticed some items that were not on the camp list.
I highly suggest scouts bring these items in addition to the attached supply list.
Cot
Deodorant
Soap
Shampoo
Lotion
Daypack (hat, water bottle, flashlight, rain gear, personal first aid kit, 1st-day items)
Medication
Camp Chair
Scouts need to check their scout uniform and have it ready for camp. We will travel in our uniform.
Scouts will need to bring their lunch. We will stop around lunchtime before arriving at camp.
This is most of what I could think of, and I'm sure I'll think of more as I continue to prepare for camp. The last big email will go out after next week's meeting. If you have questions feel free to ask.
I truly love this troop and how awesome it is. Everyone always rises to the occasion and does what is needed. Scouting is one of the best programs in this country and 363 is one of the best troops I have ever seen in all my years working summer camps. It is because of great leaders and amazing parents! The boys wouldn't be able to be successful without you.
Yours in Scouting,
Michael Steelman
