Subject: Friends of Scouting - San Angelo Gives! May 5th!

Dear Jeff Helton,

I know that over the years, you have played an important role in supporting our annual Friends of Scouting campaign by investing financially in Scouting’s character-building programs.  Thanks to your generosity young lives are being impacted with Values like … “On my honor, I will do my best to do my duty to God and my Country…”  These words have been the foundation of our organization since 1910 and reflect the values that are critical to the healthy development of our youth.

We would like to keep that momentum moving forward with supporting the youth in Texas Southwest Council who depend on our service.  This year we have established a campaign objective of $38,000 in support of our youth.  It costs the council approximately $475 per Scout each year to keep a child in Scouting.

I have attached this web page link, https://www.sanangelogives.org/Scouting, that I would like to invite you to visit on Tuesday, May 5th and make a gift in support of this year’s Friends of Scouting Campaign.  This is the website to San Angelo Gives which is a powerful 24-hour, online giving event that connects the Concho Valley with community nonprofits to reinforce the value of both local philanthropic giving and community engagement.  Here is the really exciting part!  Every gift made to Boy Scouts through sanangelogives.org on May 5th helps our chances of winning prizes given throughout the day ranging from $500 to $1,000.  Our chances to maximize your gift are great!  Please visit the prizes page on San Angelo Gives to view the times these prizes are available starting at midnight!

For over 100 years, Scouting has kept its commitment to families to give parents and children time together, to help children discover new skills, and to prepare every Scout for life.  I would like to ask you on behalf of some very special kids to consider supporting a child’s development, exploration, and discovery.  Your gift will directly benefit our community by offering all children regardless of their financial situation the opportunity to experience Scouting.  And as a past supporter of Friends of Scouting, I am reaching out to you to consider giving during the San Angelo Gives event where you will have the opportunity to maximize your giving dollars.  Could you please help the youth of our community?

Please let me know if I can answer any questions for you.

Yours in Scouting,

Stacy
