Parents – Happy Easter Weekend, I hope everyone is doing well.
Please see the note below from the Council.  This is a hard time for a lot of folks.  If you have some support you can send towards the BSA, this is a great time to do.  Thanks for all that you do.  J Helton

Subject: Making a difference for the youth

This letter is being sent on behalf of the Texas Southwest Council Key 3 and Vice President of Friends of Scouting

Dear Friend,

We hope you and your family are healthy.

We are writing to you as the Texas Southwest Council urgently needs your help.

Scouting has never been more important to our youth and communities. We are committed to the mission . . . actively planning service projects and our character-building youth programs.

But, we need your help!

Like you, we have been deeply affected by the Coronavirus. We temporarily closed our stores, asked our employees to work from home, and advised our members, volunteers and staff to heed all public safety recommendations.

Our traditional fund-raising activities, including our Community Fundraising events and our annual Family Friends of Scouting (FOS) campaigns have always been held in groups and provided the opportunity for personal connections. As we do our part to participate in social distancing we have had to delay or cancel these events.

We are contacting you because you have shown your belief in the Mission of the Boy Scouts of America. It cost $300 per registered Scout to continue providing a quality Scouting experience for the youth of the Southwest Texas area.

You have supported us in the past, can we count on you to help today?  Your recurring contribution of $25.00 per month will make a big difference for youth in our area.

You can make your contribution by clicking the donate button below and setting up your recurring contribution.

San Angelo Gives is just around the corner on May 5, 2020 and you can also support the Texas Southwest Council on that day by making a gift online at: https://www.sanangelogives.org/Scouting. Or, Text tswcfos to (844) 615 – 4269.

Thank you for your continuing support of the mission of the Texas Southwest Council. With the support of our volunteers and people like you, the mission will continue.
